To prolong the life of your jewellery always handle with care and follow these simple tips to keep your jewellery in top condition. Avoid storing your jewellery in the bathroom or anywhere moisture may be present, as it will quicken the tarnishing process. *coastal climates will also quicken the tarnishing process due to moisture in the air. Do not wear your jewellery where there are chemicals like bleach or chlorine might be present such as a pool or hot tub and cleaning products within your home, remove all jewellery before entering a pool or using these harsh chemicals. It is also recommended that you remove your jewellery before any exercising as excessive sweat can also tarnish your jewellery. It is best to remove your jewellery before you exercize, have a shower or bath and sleeping in order to preserve the shine on your jewellery. Take care to remove jewellery before adding body lotions, sunscreen or purfumes to avoid discolouration. Therefore it is best when not wearing your jewellery to store in a cool dry place, your clear sealable bag within your gift bag is the perfect place to keep your jewellery and ensure its longevitiy. Keep all jewellery items separate as this will deter any scratches, increase the life of your jewellery and lessen the amount of polishing it may need to stay bright. We will be offering Bella Donna Jewellery wraps soon but they are not available as yet, perfect for storing or transporting your jewellery safetly abroad. We also now offer clear resuable sealable bags which you can purchase to keep all of your jewellery pieces separate and protected while not wearing them. A polishing cloth is how most people keep their jewellery looking shiny and new, By giving it a polish every once and a while with a polishing cloth. You are provided a polishing cloth with each Bella Donna purchase so keep it safe. They are soft cloths that are impregnated with silver polishing compound. You may want to give your piece a wash and rinse with water afterwards to remove any of the residue left from the polishing compound. Please note that once your cloth has turned completey black, the polishing compound has been used and needs to be replaced. You can purchase a replacement in our store. Hot Soapy water is another method used and can be beneficial if you have managed to get a little discolouration on your piece. Simply place your jewellery into warm soapy water and leave to soak for 20mins, remove and pat dry. Professional Clean maybe in order if your jewellery has been tarnished or the silver has dulled over time and your cloth is not bringing up the shine any longer. Simply purchase a professional clean service from the store, send us your items recorded and insured, we will professionally clean them and then return them to you as good as new. Your jewellery does not need to have been purchased from us but does need to have been stamped with sterling silver with UK hallmarking. If you are in a hurry for such a gift please get in touch and we can send a virtual copy either straight to recipient or to you so you may print it out. Typically the gift cards are sent out within 24 hours via royal mail. What are the payment options? Our current payment options are all major debit and credit cards. Laybuy, Clearpay, apply pay and paypal are now accepted payments methods on our online store. Our Gift Cards - Please contact us direct to spend these in our online store. What is your turn around time for my item/(s)? My current turn around time is 7 days from when you place your order to when you physicaly recieve it plus your chosen delivery choice. Around public holidays this can increase and you are more than welcome to contact us via phone or webchat which you can find in the bottom right hand corner of your screen and we can advise you on the current turnaround. My advise is to order your item(s) as soon as you can if for a special occasion. Are your items gift boxed? Yes all of our pieces come with our logo gift box, gift bag and a gift tag as well as a welcome pack and your own logo sterling silver polish pad. What do i do if i do not know my ring size? We offer free ring sizers to be sent out after we recieve your order so if you are unsure which size to order just click on free ring sizer and one will be sent out prior to packing your order, then once you recieve this just let us know as soon as possible and we will begin your order. We also offer some sizing advise on our sizing guide page which can be found at the top of page. How do i take care of my new sterling silver piece? With every order from us you will recieve your very own personalised logo sterling silver polish cloth which you can use to polish and brighten your piece whenever you feel the need. If however your piece needs a deep clean you can always send them back to us, at your expense, and recieve a free deep polish within one year of purchasing from us. All you need to do is purchase professional clean on the website, send us your items (Please send your pieces insured with postal company of your choice and once we have polished we will send them back to you recorded special delivery. The return cost is now included in the price listed. We recommend sending Special delivery when you send your items to us, as this covers your items. Are all your pieces sterling silver? Yes all our pieces are sterling silver unless stated. We have just included gold filled and gold vermeil jewellery pieces to our collections aswell as many silver and gold plated items but they will be clearly labelled which metal within each listing or collection. What do i do if i do not recieve my order? Firstly please contact us so we may look into this for you, please include your order number so we can track your order quickly and return your message as quickly as possible. In the unlikely event that your item does not arrive, we ask for you to wait 7 days just in case our delivery method has delays, if still not recieved then we will of course send a replacement. How do i add personalisation to my order? Please double check all spellings and grammer etc before completeing your order as no refunds are given for mispelt names dates or phrases. All of our sterling silver is recycled where it can be and all of our packaging and gift boxes are now all recycled materials. What is the difference between plated, filled and vermeil? If you look at the diagram below it might help explain the difference and what you are actually paying for. Most of our items are sterling silver unless otherwise stated and we have chosen to add gold vermeil as our gold alternative as it is sterling silver under a thick coat of gold and is much more durable than plated, it is hypoallergenic and will not turn a different colour or mark your skin. Eventually if the gold did wear away then you would be left with sterling silver. How long that process would take is really down to how you look after your piece, how often you wear it and if you listen to care advise. For example even though sterling silver does not tarnish we still recommend removing your jewellery before using household products or showering and would recommend the same for all of our jewellery wether it is plated or pure as this will prolong the life and shine of your piece. All of our items are 'in stock' but some are made from scratch/ handcrafted and can take upto 7 days for that process especially for personalised items, ring sizes and are made as custom orders aswell as batch makes which are the pre orders (You will be given a pre order date when you order). So if you order an item that states in stock, your order will be sent out within 24hours but if you order custom or pre order then turnaround times come into play and you should be told within each listing when to expect your order. Many Customers can be confused why their order has taken so long but this is to remind you that your item probably has been made from scratch just for you. It is a long process of soldering, hand polishing, machine polish and barrel polishing and cleaning, packing up your orders and post office runs. Not to mention, engraving, adding your chosen birthstones or hand stamping your item, if this is applicable, which does take time. So i have made up this in stock collection for you to view as these are current items that we have in stock to send out within 24 hours, if you purchase a piece from this collection it will be posted out within 24 hours and your choosen delivery method.
